LOOK AT DIS CUTIE

(Source: gorehowlloki)

It was late evening. The wind was howling among the olden wood that lined the Zombie’s only home. The wall barely able to hold off nature’s voice as he rested his back to it. Calm and obviously filled with thought. That dead-panned expression would make anyone wonder just what he was thinking.

He was alone here. Still. Lost. Lost in thought and wonder. {What is next?} He wondered. {What do I do?} Bright eyes open and wide, and pinching out the last of the small candle’s flame. Gentle yet quick. As if saying goodbye to an old friend. With a creak of the wooden boards, the Zombie was to his feet. Moving from his usual sitting spot, there was a pile of worn books. Some he had read much more than once.

Shoes eased as if they had not walked in ages. Legs long and limber. By the unlocked doorway say a small pile of clothing. Kneeling down to it, the Zombie eased his way into it all. Taking it with both hands and moving it over his shoulders like a sort of cloak. Sliding his arms through the sleeves, the coat was firmly on. Eyes glancing slightly to the side, the sight of his lonely hat remained on a small nail that hung out of the wall. (Left behind by the home’s previous owners.) Quickly, the hat was taken from the wall and to the fair perch of his brow. Going with his gut, the nameless man felt it best to do what his instincts have been repeating.

It was time to go.

A fast creak and the old door was open. Stepping outside to freshly fallen snow, the Zombie was free once more. Able to go wherever he felt destined to.

For here… there was nothing.
